According to Changing Homelessness, the homeless population is decreasing for Duval County, Florida. However, shelters have been forced to reduce their bed capacity by 50% due to COVID-19 social distancing rules since December 2020. Sending people back to the streets for almost 4 years now.

The Center for Disease Control (CDC)  reported in 2019, less than half of all Floridians (both young and old) aren't intaking fruits & vegetables at least 1 time daily. That means more than half of Florida residents are eating unhealthy on a regular basis, and aren’t getting the necessary nutrients they need to live more abundant lives.

The Florida recycling rate has continued to decline since 2016, and the state’s current recycling rate is 49% since 2019. The Florida Department of Environmental Protection pledged to reach 75% by 2020, and the deadline has passed. It's time for us to step up, we must continue this fight!

Two-thirds of our state is surrounded by water. Unfortunately, some of our local rivers, and waterways aren't doing too well. In 2019, Action News Jax ran a broadcast stating major red flags in our St. John's River and it continues to decline. We must fight against industrial dumping, public litter, and reduce our carbon footprint if we want to develop healthier eco-systems.
